Ancestor Homes is a new venture, uncovering the vast ancestral information found in property deeds and related documents dating from 1660.

The private collection of a landlord with properties throughout England and Wales is being digitised. Deeds and related documents are being transcribed to form a searchable database so genealogists and those alike can search our records to help discover their ancestors. This project is ongoing and so the website will be updated at least once a month.

The information contained in deeds does not just stop at names and addresses. They can include dates of birth, marriage and death, maiden or previous names, occupations, relationships, signatures, seals and can indicate a person’s wealth.

We hope Ancestor Homes brings history to life for so many people. Who knows, we could have something which relates to you.
